Privacy & Security

Your work. Your data.

AirJelly helps you remember your work and understand how your data is used.

01

You control when capture happens.

AirJelly uses screenshots to understand what you are working on. You can pause capture or exclude specific apps.

Pause when you need privacy.

If you do not want your current work captured, you can pause capture or add specific apps to your exclusion list.

Smart screenshots pause for secure input.

In apps such as password managers, Keychain, and banking apps, AirJelly pauses smart screenshots and skips reading text from a field when it detects that the app reports it as a secure input field.

02

Screenshots are stored locally and processed in the cloud.

Local storage and cloud AI are two separate steps.

Encrypted on your device.

Screenshots are encrypted and stored locally so AirJelly can look back at your work.

Relevant content is sent to the cloud when you use AI.

When screen understanding is enabled, screenshot images and related text context are sent to remote services. Summaries, memory, chat, and search also send relevant text and context, depending on the feature you use.

03

Your work remains yours.

AirJelly uses your work context to provide the services you request.

Your content does not train AirJelly AI models.

You retain ownership of the content in your work context. AirJelly does not use this content to train AI models. See the FAQ below for each model provider’s data use policies.

We do not sell your personal data for advertising or marketing.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Our Privacy Policy explains processing needed to provide the service, legal requirements, and other circumstances.

FAQ

Details on capture, cloud processing, and account information.

Capture and local protection

When does secure input protection apply?

When an app reports a secure input field (AXSecureTextField) through the accessibility API and AirJelly detects that state, it skips reading text from that field and pauses smart screenshots.

You can also pause capture or exclude specific apps. Accessibility text snapshots are skipped for apps on the built-in blocklist.

How are local screenshot encryption keys protected?

Screenshots are encrypted and stored on your device. Local encryption key protection currently relies primarily on the operating system’s file access controls.

Cloud AI and data processing

What do different AI features send?

These AI requests are sent to cloud model services through the AirJelly Gateway.

Do model providers use this content for training?

According to Google Cloud’s public policy, customer data is not used to train or fine-tune models without the customer’s permission or instruction.

We have enabled OpenRouter’s Zero Data Retention (ZDR) routing restrictions. Inference requests are sent only to model endpoints that comply with its ZDR policy.

According to Amazon Bedrock’s public policy, inputs and outputs are not used to train AWS or third-party foundation models.

Do model providers retain request content?

OpenRouter does not store input or output content. AirJelly has enabled its ZDR routing restrictions.

Some Amazon Bedrock models that require safety reviews may retain data for up to 30 days.

Accounts, analytics, and the website

What information is included in product analytics and error diagnostics?

PostHog product analytics cover events such as app launches, sign-ins, onboarding, and permissions, along with common fields such as app version and platform. Data undergoes field filtering and text sanitization, but this does not make it fully anonymous.

The current sign-in flow sets your user ID and email address in Sentry. Product analytics data may be linked to your account.

What information do you provide when signing up or contacting AirJelly?

When you sign up or contact us, you may provide your name, email address, account information, and communications. We use this information for account management, authentication, customer support, and service notifications.

How can you manage website cookies?
